7 Questions you Need to Ask Yourself Before Starting a Campaign

7 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Starting a Campaign

Creating a marketing campaign is a great course of action, but if you thought that the train of thought’s final station is set in this part, you’re pretty wrong. As a matter of fact, the act of starting a campaign may require you some time and resources, but by asking the right questions – You’ll know as soon as possible if you’re still on the right track.

What’s my Goal?

Sounds obvious? Most of the marketing campaigns today have no idea what they are trying to achieve. If you don’t know what you want, how will you know if you’re doing good?

Are my Goals Practical?

Even from the smaller group with goals set in its mind, we can still find those who didn’t understand the game – Some will exaggerate (I want 500 leads for 50$ spent), and some will just be too general (I want more money). Learn about your limits and set your goals accordingly.

Who’s my Audience?

Audience

Your target audience refers to the specific group of consumers most likely to want your product or service, and therefore, the group of people who should see your ad campaigns. The target audience may be dictated by age, gender, income, location, interests or a myriad of other factors.

What’s my Message?

Knowing who to talk to is essential, but what about what you’re going to tell them? The elderly won’t like the message that the young audiences prefer and vice versa. Plan a fitting message for each crucial audience, and see how things start to get in your favor.

What’s my Budget?

Budget

How much do you plan on spending? If you have a set financial limit, you’ll know what’s more important and what can be left out. Many companies had suffered damages just because they didn’t measure the outcome in cash before the green light was lit.

What’s Next?

So, you’ve uploaded a commer

cial or a brand awareness paid campaign. What’s next? What are the steps in the rest of the funnel? Every part of your way should be calculated tactically, and just as you won’t shoot a flare just for kicks if you’re stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean, don’t shoot an ad that may be your ticket for a crash and burn that’ll require others to save you from yourself.

Did I do Everything Right?

There’s a reason why a plan works better – Everything you need will be written so you can later review every part of the process and see that you’re still a part of your project. Don’t try and skip it to make things go faster – Because finding an error in the late stages will take much more than a few moments of playing it safe.
